Walking route of the municipality of St. Oswald. Starting point: St. Oswald village square We head north, past the old fire station to the Galgenberg. Continue along the road to the end, past the former customs house. Shortly before the border crossing, turn right onto the forest path. The path initially goes flat, later slightly downhill eastwards. After approx. 800 metres we come to a path and see the alluvial canal in front of us. Now we follow the canal downhill and let the force of the water carry us along. This part of the alluvial canal, also known as the steep section, is the most beautiful part of the alluvial canal. At the Theresianischer Grenzstein, we leave the canal and follow the path uphill towards St. Oswald. After a short section in the forest, we return to St. Oswald via a beautiful field path.
