Northern Hansbergland tour (no. 4)

Enjoy the landscape of the beautiful Mühlviertel on your bike!

The far north lives up to its name: From St. Peter am Wimberg, you will ride down to the Große Mühl river. Through the towns of Hollerberg and Kasten upward to St. Stefan am Walde. From one of the highest points of the Granitland, you wil have a fantastic view of the entire country all the way to the Dachstein. The route continues on the Nordwaldkammweg (Nordwald ridge trail) to Guglwald, Piberstein, down to the Steinerne Mühl river und back up to Wimbergrücken. Via the villages of Penning, Grubdorf and past the Bründlkapelle (Bründl chapel), it will lead you up onto the Hansberg (850 m). Via St. Johann am Wimberg, you will ride past the former mills Sagmühle and Krenmühle back to St. Peter.
