0 km Haidmühle – Border parking lot: You will now pass the German-Czech border. An approx. 500 m uphill section takes you to the
0.5 km “Stozeck/Alluvial Canal/Nové Údolí” junction. Turn left onto the no. 1024 towards Stozec. At the stop, turn right and continue following the no. 33 road. From Cerny Kriz, hang a right and follow the no. 1027 road to the tunnel of
14.9 km Hirschbergen/Jelení Vrchy. Here, you will see the exit portal of the formerly 419-m-long tunnel. After a brief, steep downhill section, turn left onto the Canal and you will reach the
17.7 km Rosenauerkapelle Chappel & Seebachschleuse Lock. Seebach Creek used to connect to Lake Plöckenstein, making it one of the most important tributaries. Staying at the Canal, you will reach a crossroads at
21.7 km Rossbachschleuse Lock. (Possibility to turn off towards the 1/10 border crossing in the direction of Holzschlag)
24.4 km Hefenkriegbach-Riese. Here, you will spot the “der Wächter! (“The Sentinel”) sculpture which was created in the framework of the Kulturachse Schwemmkanal (“Cultural Axis Alluvial Canal”) initiative. You will run into such works of art a few more times.
32.5 km Glöckelberg/Zadní Zvonková. Only the restored church remains of the former village. A small museum tells you the history of this place. Cross the asphalt road that leads to the Schöneben border crossing and continue on the beautiful dirt road, passing the Rotbachschleuse Lock (border), until you reach
34.6 km Sonnenwald. Follow the Canal. You will pass the Landsknechtin Lock and the “die 7 Raben” (“7 Ravens”) sculpture, after which you will soon reach the
41.8 km Schrollenbach Lock. After 500 m, cross Krumauer Street (leads to Oberhaag and Aigen-Schlägl) and continue on the beautiful forestry road to
46.1 km Iglbach Creek/Doppelbrücke Bridge. There, log floating shows are held in the summer. You will now pass the Austrian-Czech border.
47.7 km At Rosenhügel/Koranda you will cross the transcontinental water divide. A sculpture illustrates this natural border. Continue right and, on a somewhat bumpy dirt road, you will reach the
50.4 km St. Oswald border crossing. The Connect it sculpture symbolises the two countries becoming closer. Pick up speed and continue downhill to
51.8 km St. Oswald bei Haslach.
