This hiking trail runs very close to the border with Bavaria, beautiful hike through the Michleggwald. Passable with a pram!

Marking: yellow aluminium signs and red-white-red colour marking on trees. 

0 km You start the hike at the Schwarzenberg municipal office or at the Hotel-Restaurant Bergkristall. You pass the hotel on the left and reach a field path, which you follow for approx. 800 m. Now turn left into the forest path and reach ...

1.4 km ... to the hermitage. Gregor Jungwirth built a hermitage around 1764. There, as "Frater Anton", he held devotions with the adults and taught the young people. Later (1784-86) he supervised the building of the church in Schwarzenberg, the school and the rectory. You walk on forest paths, always following the markings, through the mighty Michlegg forest. Listen to the murmur of the Gegenbach stream and hike a short distance parallel to the Große Mühl river. 

5.5 km Now leave the forest and the forest road and turn right onto the meadow path. Arriving at the asphalt road, turn left and follow it and after about 400 m you will come across the road to Hinteranger. Continue to the right. After 600 m turn left into the federal road Klaffer-Bayr.Grenze. Immediately afterwards, turn left again into the forest path that leads you through Frauenholz.
