In the Bohemian Forest village of Schöneben near Ulrichsberg, this chapel was built by displaced persons after the Second World War. In the Bohemian Forest village of Schöneben near Ulrichsberg, this chapel was built by displaced persons after the Second World War and consecrated in 1962; its patron saint is Mary on the Flight into Egypt; Father Joseph Lorenz (1954-1963) took special care of this shrine. The maintenance of this chapel, a jewel in the middle of the Bohemian Forest, is taken care of by the Kammeradschaftsbund Ulrichsberg, which has already grown fond of preserving it. The association sees itself as a bridge between the past and the future of our homeland. The association keeps alive the memory of the victims of wars and violent conflicts, as well as of people who lost their lives in the service of the community. The Kameradschaftsbund maintains the war memorial in Ulrichsberg as a memorial for peace. The association lives tradition and actively stands up for the preservation of peace.
