With our museum, we would like to turn back the wheel of time for you and thus actively present centuries-old letterpress printing (i.e. you can experience a printed product from its creation to its final production during a guided tour). The Letterpress Museum in Rohrbach-Berg illustrates the printing industry of the last 100 years and is run as a living museum where visitors can actively participate.
You will find:
In the typographical area: lead and wood fonts, linotype, lead typesetting machines, etc.
In the printing area: hand press, proof press, platen press
In the bookbinding area: cutting machines, embossing machines, wire stitching machines, perforating machines, bookbinding machines, etc.
Visitors to our museum are always fascinated by this historic craft and the activities of a former typesetter, printer and bookbinder, as well as the perfection of old typesetting and printing machines.
