Impressive rock formations...
...pile up high on Dreisesselberg, Bärnstein or Hochbuchetfelsen. This is the result of so called onionskin weathering. 300 million years ago the Bohemian Massif arose. Rainwater seeped through the earth and flushed out underground caves. The granite began to decompose and so the round rock formations came into shape. The Bärnstein is a result of hundreds of millions of years of the geological history of our planet.
