Manufacturing of handcrafts; felt wear and textile
Felting is not the same Felting is not the same felting ... at least not in Andrea Oppel. The artisan works with many different hand knitting yarns - from wool to wool-silk blends to microfiber yarns, incorporating various design techniques. She dyes her wool and fabrics herself or paints them. "So I can fall back on a color-matched fund of materials," says Oppel.
The designer prefers to work with different combinations of different materials. It uses silk, linen and cotton fabrics that are felted either flat or with pleats.
What emerges is a veritable firework of unique fashion: dresses and coats with harmonious color gradations and vivid surfaces, hats and hats, belts and bags.
Andrea also gives courses herself and thus inspires others for their passion. The works of Andrea Oppel are available on handicraft markets or directly from the artist herself.
