Local history museum in the old primary schools with the Holy Sepulchre and the Adalbert Stifter Museum.
The museum of local history in the old primary schools houses a permanent exhibition of tools and implements used in farming and the documentation of the community's development, as well as the Holy Sepulchre.
Adalbert Stifter Museum "My whole soul is attached to this region"... The state-of-the-art exhibition in the Schwarzenberg local history museum in the old primary school is dedicated to the famous "son of the Bohemian Forest" Adalbert Stifter. Visitors are given an overview of Stifter's life and his literary and artistic work. In addition, Stifter's work as a teacher and school inspector as well as his visionary school building campaign in the Lande ob der Enns are honoured. The highlights of the presentation include the world's only Stifter hologram, the "Ride of Witiko", from a satellite perspective and the award-winning Stifter memorial design for Linz by Othmar Schimkowitz (1900). "Colourful stones"... is the name of the geological calling card of the Bohemian Forest. An audio station offers acoustic samples from selected Stifter works. Detailed information on Stifter's reception history can be called up on an information pillar, such as Stifter monuments and memorials as well as locations in German-speaking countries that bear the name of the "most famous son of the Bohemian Forest".
