In the Bohemian Forest, the far north of Upper Austria, the climate, the land and the people have created their very own culinary profile. We don't have to think back to our culinary roots, we have never forgotten them. Rather, we have kept them well-guarded, allowed them to mature and preserved them for unveiling. The journey by bike takes you to these culinary rarities, such as hoppy-tart beer or exquisite bread.

Discover treasures on the organic food trail:
Over gentle hills to crispy bread and fine beer drops. Starting from the monastery town of Aigen-Schlägl, you cycle towards real moments of pleasure with Mühlviertel character. Via Rohrbach-Berg you reach the Mauracher Hof, where organic bread is perfected with the greatest care and the very best ingredients. The next gourmet stop is Austria's largest organic medicinal herb garden, which surprises you with a blossom of wild herbs at any time of year. The Ulrichsberger Hof farm awaits you in the neighbouring village, where only natural and organic produce is allowed in the cooking pot. Back in Aigen-Schlägl, discover Austria's only abbey brewery and then stop off at the Schiffner beer inn, where the first world champion beer sommelier Karl Schiffner will spoil you with his specialities. And in between, plenty of time to discover, taste and marvel. A journey where flavours are celebrated and there is more time for yourself.
