The trail leads through a particularly charming landscape: the Sausende Schlucht gorge. Birds feel particularly at home in this secluded spot, hence the name of the trail. Along the Sausende Schlucht bird song trail in Peilstein, which stretches over 4.7 km, you will come across 10 information boards about local bird species. There is a QR code on each of these boards, which can be used to listen to the bird song of the species presented. You hike a short distance uphill on the asphalt road to the village of Flatting, then turn left and hike along the field path towards the forest and past a wooden barn.
