The brick pond dates back to the 17th century. It is over 2 hectares in size and has a depth of approx. 4 metres at the outlet. After more than 250 years as a carp pond, it has been used as a fishing pond since 2000.
In addition to carp as the main fish, there is a good stock of catfish. There are also bream, pike, tench, trout, perch, rudd and zander. Rainbow trout and carp are restocked annually, other fish species as required. The fishing season lasts from 1 April to 31 October. The closed seasons, bait restrictions and minimum sizes of the Upper Austrian Fishing Act apply (exceptions: carp from 65 cm and sturgeon and amur are protected all year round).
Fishing permit and annual licence must be presented when purchasing the permit. The statutory closed seasons and minimum catch sizes apply.
The fishing season lasts from 1 April to 31 October.
