A place for kings.
The Dreisesselberg (Germany) is probably one of the most famous mountains in the Bohemian Forest. In good weather you can enjoy a wonderful view of the Alps from the summit. The Dreisessel is near Schwarzenberg in the border triangle of Upper Austria / Germany / Czech Republic.
Its name comes from three natural stone "seats", on which, so the legend says, three kings were enthroned to divide their country. The "Hochstein" is with 1322 m the highest Steinburg at Dreisessel. It is the starting point of the Nordwaldkammweg.
The lookout rock is accessible all year round.
