Oberschwarzenberg – Schöneben
19 km, walking distance approx. 6.5 h, approx. 882 m difference in altitude

On this leg you are going to beat the steepes rise of your journey, but the beautiful view of Austria, Bavaria and the Czech Republic is well worth it. A special place of power is at the Teufelsschüsseln. Via the Dreiecksmark you reach the highest uprising of the Bohemian Forest, the 1379 m high Plöckenstein. If you don't mind the detour over the border you can enjoy a wonderful view of the Plöckensteinersee and the Adalbert Stifter monument (Passport required). Along the border you are going from mountain top to mountain top over 4 summits (all over 1000 m). At the Stinglfelsen there is a nice bench where you can take a rest. Now the hike continues through bright forests on the slightly sloping trail to Schöneben.

Next leg Schöneben – Aigen-Schlägl.
