A place for kings.
The Dreisesselberg (Germany) is probably one of the most famous mountains in the Bohemian Forest. In good weather you can enjoy a wonderful view of the Alps from the summit. The Dreisessel is near Schwarzenberg in the border triangle of Upper Austria / Germany / Czech Republic. Its name comes from three natural stone "seats", on which, so the legend says, three kings were enthroned to divide their country. The "Hochstein" is with 1322 m the highest Steinburg at Dreisessel. It is the starting point of the Nordwaldkammweg. Berggasthof Opening times daily from 9.00 am until 5.00 pm. Closed every year from early November to mid-December! No accommodations.
