Oilseed from our region.
In Haslach, for generations, steel has been pressed from precious plant seeds (flax seed) in the steel mill! The fragrant linseed oil drips from the hydraulic press, where the oil is pressed warm according to old tradition. The cold-pressed oil drips from a screw press. Alone the smell in the old mill stimulates the appetite. For our region typical dishes are the Leinölerdäpfel and the Leinölkäs.
Gunther Koblmiller has helped the regional linseed oil to a renaissance. He was also the one who brought together old equipment for oil extraction into an authentic mill. She has been associated with the name Koblmiller for more than 250 years. In 1905 the mill burned down including the upper floor of the residential building and was rebuilt. In 1932, the water wheels were replaced by has still existing E-Werk today.
