Processing maize leaves
Wall hangings, coasters, baskets

In this course, we will take a step-by-step approach to processing corn husks.
We will twist the leaves into a string, stretch the string onto wooden moulds and create beautiful objects by knotting and weaving them.
This is a very old craft that makes use of the incredible resilience and stability of corn leaves. This technique has a meditative quality and can be further developed individually once the basic principles have been learnt.
