Guided tour of the Kultur.Gut.Museum for 8 or more people

A museum was opened in the Stiftsmeierhof Aigen-Schlägl in 1997, in which large parts of Mr Josef Lehner's collection are made accessible to the public. 

The Mühlviertel in the olden days Most of the exhibits are from the Rohrbach-Berg district and bear witness to the rural and artisanal way of life in earlier times. On a total of around 900 square metres, selected objects present topics such as water, stone, wood, iron, glass, leather, honey & wax, straw, flax, wool, animal husbandry and plant cultivation (the latter with references to Mühlviertel food).

Schlaegl Abbey: Founded in 1218, the Gothic abbey church with Baroque furnishings, the neo-Baroque library (with approx. 60,000 volumes), the picture gallery, a unique portrait gallery of the confreres, the treasury, the Romanesque crypt and the collection of sacred art are particularly worth seeing.
