Schwarzenberg Channel Tour Start the tour at the car park near the boarder crossing in Haidmühle (Germany). The route passes the german-czech border and takes a gently inclined course of 500 m up to the turnoff „Stozek-Schwemmknal-Nové Údolí“ where you turn right towards the Schwarzenberg wood-float-Channel (Schwarzenbergischer Schwemmkanal). After a climb of 3 km you will reach the beginning of the Schwarzenberg wood-float-channel at the Rosenauser monument, which is dedicated to the channel’s engineer. From now on you follow the road next to the channel and the white-blue-white signposts to get to St. Oswald (Austria), which ends this tour. You will reach Jelení Vrchy (Hirschbergen, CZ) after about 15 km. You can appreciate the impressive tunnel, which was built as one of the first tunnels in Central Europe. After a steep slope turn right into the channel’s road and pass the Rosenauer chapel and Seebach watergate (17 km), Rossbach watergate (21 km) and Helfenkriegbach watergate (25,5 km). It’s worth stopping in Zadní Zvonková (Glöckelberg) to take a look at the beautifully restored church. After the church, turn right into the asphalt road at the next turning and pass through the former border crossing at Schöneben (32.5 km; Austria). After a short climb, turn left towards Sonnenwald, from where you follow the channel’s road, passing various sculptures (the swimmer, the mirror, the 7 ravens) and the Landsknechtin watergate till you reach the Schrollenbach watergate. After 500 m you cross Krumauer Straße. Keep following the channel’s road, passing through the former border crossing Iglbach/Doppelbrücke (Czech Republic) and ride on towards Koranda/Rosenhügel (Czech Republic) where you will see the sculpture „watershed“. Turn right at the crossroads, cross the little bridge and follow the country lane till you pass through the former border crossing at St.Oswald (Austria), where you will see the fine sculpture „Connect it“. Follow the signposting downhill towards St.Oswald by Haslach, where you end the tour.

Vlatava Reservoir Tour, Moldaustausee-Tour Starting in the centre of Aigen you turn right at the church and head for the railway station (Bahnhof). At the next fork go straight ahead (do not take the road on the right side, which would lead you to the station) towards Baureith. Follow the route R5 passing Baureith and Günterreith to St. Oswald by Haslach. After a 1 km climb pass through the former border crossing at St. Oswald (Czech Republic) and follow the country lane towards Koranda/Rosenhügel. After crossing the Schwarzenberg wood-float-channel, ride straight ahead till you reach the waterside of Vlatava reservoir. Turn left and follow the road for about 7 km till you reach a crossroad where you turn left towards Předni Zvonková. At the former state collective farm you turn left again, passing Zadní Zvonková. You will reach the former border crossing at Schöneben (30 km; Austria). Keep going and turn left into the route R27 (Böhmerwaldradweg) which will lead you along the Schwarzenberg-wood-float-channel past Sonnenwald and various watergates. At the Schrollenbach watergate turn right and leave the wood-float-channel behind. After a long climb on the asphalt road you will reach Oberhaag. Follow the road down the very steep slope till you reach your starting point Aigen. |

Three-Countries-Tour Starting in the centre of Schwarzenberg you head towards Oberschwarzenberg. After a long steep climb you reach the guesthouse Dreiländereck in Oberschwarzenberg. Follow the road untill you come to a small car park, which is also the starting point for various hiking tours. Go straight ahead on the forest track and cross the stream „Gegenbach“, that defines the border between Austria and Germany. After 3 km you come across the fork „Lärchbaumfleck“. Take the street „Ewigkeitsstraße“ towards Frauenberg. You will reach the village of Frauenberg after 6.5 km. Take the street „Staatsstraße“ on the left side and follow it for about 100m, then turning right again into the street „Mirasatstraße“. Soon you will reach the Adalbert-Stifter-hiking&cycling trail leading to Haidmühle. The route passes through the german-czech border and slopes upwards for 500 m to the turnoff „Stozek-Schwemmknal-Nové Údolí“ where you turn right towards the Schwarzenberg wood-float-Channel (Schwarzenbergischer Schwemmkanal). After a climb of 3 km you will reach the beginning of the Schwarzenberg wood-float-channel at the Rosenauser monument, which is dedicated to the channel’s engineer. From now on you follow the road next to the channel and the white-blue-white signposts to get to St. Oswald by Haslach (Austria), which ends this tour. You will reach Jelení Vrchy (Hirschbergen, CZ) after about 15 km, where you can appreciate the tunnel, which was one of the first tunnels to be built in Central Europe. After a steep slope, turn right into the channel’s road and pass the Rosenauer chapel. Following a further 4 km turn right. There is then a very steep climb of about 3 km which takes you through the former border crossing 1/10. Keep riding through the skiing area Hochficht and turn right before you reach the youth hostel „Ereignishaus Holzschlag“. Then take the route R27 to get to your starting point in Schwarzenberg.

| Kleine Mühl-Tour | 50 km |
Follow the signposted route from the railway station in Berg by Rohrbach into the centre of Rohrbach. At the city square turn right at the trinity column and follow the road past the village of Lanzerstorf. From this point the route leads downhill all the way. In the village of Hühnergeschrei the tour turns right after the fire station into the valley of the river Kleine Mühl. Close to the hotel Bruckwirt take the street that leads from Altenfelden to Lembach. After the right turn, follow it for about 100 m then turn left towards Obermühl. Riding along the river valley you will soon reach the bridge near Obermühl. Stay on the left side and do not cross the bridge. Head towards Obermühl where you will reach the route R1 (Donauradweg). Follow it till you get to the railway station in Ottensheim, which ends this route.

Mühl Valley Round Start the tour next to the church in Klaffer at Hochficht and ride along the main road to Ulrichsberg. From here follow the signposts „Golfpark Böhmerwald“ towards Berdetschlag. Turn right before Berdetschlag and left at about 200 m along the country lane which leads you to Schwarzholz chapel. Once you have passed the chapel turn left again and follow the road to Seitelschlag and the Böhmerwald golf course. At the golf course keep straight ahead. After a short downhill slope you will reach the main street. Turn left at the crossroads and ride on towards Julbach. Once in Julbach follow the green cycling signposts and then you will pass Hinterschlag and Vorderschlag. After about 15 km (near Peilstein) turn right towards Exenschlag. In the village of Exenschlag you turn left and after a few hundreds metres turn right again into the road with the sign „Lindorfer – Eder“. The road leads you gently uphill to the farmhouse Lindorfer, then down a short slope followed by a longer climb upwards. After a few metres along the country lane turn left into the main street, then turn right and follow the road to Hinterschiffl. After another 2.5 km you turn right at Schiffler chapel towards Bräuerau. At the crossroads in Bräuerau you go straight ahead continuing for about ½ km. After the copse turn left into the country lane and follow the route R5 which crosses the river Große Mühl. When you reach the main street in Hinteranger turn right. After a further ½ km turn right again into a sandy road, riding along the hiking-trail „Kapellenweg“ towards Klaffer.

Lake Plešné Tour From the car park in Schöneben the tour follows the asphalt road past the expellees’ church (dedicated to the Sudeten Germans who were expelled from their homes in Czech Republic after World War II) through the former border crossing in Schöneben (Czech Republic). Shortly afterwards turn left into the Schwarzenberg wood-float-channel trail towards Zadní Zvonková. At km 11. along the trail you turn right into a country lane, always following the wood-float-channel. After another 2 km, at the crossroads Plesné jezero – Jelení Vrchy – Nová Pec go straight ahead till you reach the Seebach watergate. Turn left here and follow the signposts „Plesné jez“. After a steep climb of 3,4 km you reach Lake Plešné. Take the same way back till you get to the barrier, from where you you go straight ahead towards Jelení Vrchy (3,5 km). In Jelení you cycle downhill. Take the next left-hand fork, following the road towards Nová Pec. The asphalt road meanders downhill through a beautiful valley to Nová Pec. Taking the second crossroads to the left towards Bližší Lhota, the route leads you past a former state collective farm and to Zadní Zvonkova. Then ascends steeply to the starting point in Schöneben.

Starting in the centre of Haslach your ride through the old tower and down the hill till you reach the crossroads at the main road. Go straight ahead along the street „Jaukenweg“ and follow the route R5 to get through the border crossing in St. Oswald (Czech Republic). The tour follows a country lane to Koranda/Rosenhügel where you turn right towards Pasečná. The tour then passes the villages of Svatý Thomáš und Předmostí. Keep following that road which leads you Přední Výton on the edge of the Vlatava reservoir and then after about 5 km through the border crossing in Guglwald (Austria). Again you follow the route R5 towards Haslach.

| Böhmerwaldachter | 68 km |
Bohemian-Forest-Eight Take the route R27 from the car park in Schöneben (Böhmerwaldradweg) and follow it to the youth hostel in Holzschlag. Then turn right and after a steep climb on a sandy road you will pass through the border crossing 1/10 (Czech Republic) after 3.5 km. The route then descends into a 2km downhill slope leading you to „Hirschröhren“. Continue towards Nová Pec. At the Rossbach watergate the tour reaches the Schwarzenberg wood-float-channel. Ride along the channel’s road till you get Zadní Zvonková (Glöckelberg, 25 km). At the next turning turn right into the asphalt road and pass through the border crossing at Schöneben (Austria). Continue up a 1.5 km steep climb in order to reach your starting point in Schöneben. At this point turn left into the route R27 towards Aigen-Schlägl. After about 3 km you should take the opportunity of a detour to view the Moldaublick lookout. Retourning to our route, you follow the signposts to Grünwald, passing Adalbert Stifter Youth Hostel till you arrive in Aigen. From here you take the route R5 passing through the border crossing at St. Oswald (Czech Republic). The tour follows a country lane to Koranda/Rosenhügel where you turn left towards Sonnenwald. For the next 13.5 km you keep to the Schwarzenberg wood-float-channel. In Sonnenwald follow the signposts towards Schöneben (Austria). After a further 3.5 km you will arrive at the car park in Schöneben.

| Ameisberg-Friedrichsberg | 45 km |
From Mt. Ameisberg to Mt. Friedrichsberg Starting in Kollerschlag you ride along the street „Linzer Straße“ towards the village of Sarleinsbach, turning right after 300 m. The tour takes an upward incline along the road to Raschau and Albenödt. Pass the village of Albenödt on the right-hand side. Then take the left turning into the counrty lane and follow it till you get to the car barrier. Turn right into the forest way and keep left. About 500 m after the barrier you reach a clearing. Continuing on the right side you head downhill towards the village of Mollmannsreith. Keep going on to Mitternschlag and then on to the lookout-tower Ameisberg (9,5 km). Take the same way back to Mitternschlag and from there the route R5 towards Kaffring and Mollmannsreith. Turn left after Schöffgattern and keep going on to Haselbach. In this village the tour turns right and descends into a sandy road which leads you to Fuchsödt (19,5 km). Keep left and ride along the border to Germany to get to the former customs office in Wegscheid, where you turn left, crossing the border, into the B38 street towards Wegscheid/Bayern. You turn right after about 400m and then after another 300 m, left again into a country lane. You then turn right at the next crossroads towards Kramerschlag and Meßnerschlag. As you leave the village of Meßnerschlag the tour leads you uphill towards „Meßnerschläger Waide“ where you turn right towards „Mühldemmbelberg“. After another 2 km you turn right into the main road. At the next crossroads after 1.5 km you keep straight ahead, following the road to get to Thalberg (31 km). At Thalberg turn right towards Kohlstatt, follow the signposts to „Aussichtswarte Friedrichsberg“. Take the same way back to Thalberg and cross the border to Austria. At the border crossing turn right towards Nebelberg. Cross the village and then turn right to get to the „Höllhäuseln“. After a short, steep downhill slope changing into a short climb upwards, turn right. After the village of Vordernebelberg turn right into the main road. After another ½ km you reach the sign „Humeredt“ where you turn left to Humeredt. Keep going along this road to Danneredt, turning right 1km before you reach Eschernhof. A beautiful country lane will take you to „Lenau“. The route goes downhill to the main street where you turn right towards Kollerschlag, the point at which you startet your tour.
