Burg Piberstein, Ahorn

This magnificent castle was built around 1200, and big areas were cleared of the trees for human settlements. The names of the villages of Piber-Schlag, Alten-Schlag and Thurner-Schlag originate from these times. Today cultural and other events take place at Piberstein! The castle can be visited on prior arrangement.
