Adalbert Stifter monument

IN HONOUR of the world-famous poet, adalbert stifter,a monument of 15 m height and all made from granite was built above the lake „Plešné“ in the Czech Republic. , wurde oberhalb des Plöckensteinersees ein Denkmal errichtet. ( 15 Meter hoher Obelisk aus Granit ). You can reach it on foot in about 3 hours from Oberschwarzenberg or in 3 and a half hours from Klaffer (Ereignishaus Holzschlag).

A copy of the monument is situated in the village of Aigen-Schlägl. You can see it right from the centre of Aigen. After 45 minutes of walking on the trail „Waldsteig“ you’ll approach the obelisk.
