Kollerschlag, located on the edge of the Bohemian Forest, offers a wide range of sports and activities for all levels and abilities. Enjoy a leisurely hiking tour along the marvelous "Stone Trail" and stop at one of the traditional inns where local specialties are served. Further amenities include marked hiking trails, cycling tracks, nature treasures, tennis courts, riding farms, horse-drawn carriage rides, saunas, tanning beds, bowling and curling alleys, plus a lot more.

 

Cross country skiers find a truly unique network of Nordic tracks leading right across the picturesque winter wonderland. Ski enthusiasts meet at the nearby Hochficht ski area, only 20 km from Kollerschlag.

 

 

Hiking trails...

Grenzbachrunde 11 km ~ 3 hours

This beautiful gentle hike leads along the border to Germany. Starting point: centre of Kollerschlag, trail-nr. 12

 

Stoanaweg 13 km ~ 4.5 hours; longer alternative 17 km ~ 7 hours

Highlights of the walk are many remarkable granite rock formations such as „Hochstein“, „Drucker-Franzl-Stein“, „Pfaffenhaus“, „Kühstein“, „Bründlstein“ and „Hüllstein“. The longer alternative to this trail takes a detour to „Hochstein“. Starting point: centre of Kollerschlag (Stein = stone), trail-nr. 11 and 11a

 

Hanriederweg 15 km ~ 4.5 hours

This trail is dedicated to Norbert Hanrieder who was a famous dialect poet of the Mühlviertel. A highlight of the trail is the look-out at Ameisberg hill from where you can overlook the entire region as far as the Bohemian Forest. Starting point: centre of Kollerschlag, trail-nr. 13
