HISTORY

The village of Berg (in former times "Perg") is first mentioned in records in 1231. A castle was built on the top of the hill. After the Perger the Röder dynasty settled in Berg, built up a new castle and let the original one expire.

Nowadays one tower and parts of the outer wall from the ancient castle still remain.
